Past Roles at HWS

President and Vice President

GREEK COUNCIL

Mission Statement: We the Greek members of HWS promote lives of character, service, unity, and utilize our various organizations to foster development within our community and its members.
We encourage members of the HWS community to live up to the Colleges' Mission by promoting leadership through academic excellence and engagement in various communities on campus.
These are the ideals that Greek organizations agree that all members of Greek life should strive for. We do this by building and sustaining relationships between member's chapters and council while contributing to a positive social culture that is beneficial for all HWS students.

America Reads Civic Leader

CIVIC LEADER

Through indirect service, Civic Leaders promote service initiatives on campus and in the community as well as encourage volunteer recruitment. Civic Leaders may also be paired with a community partner or be involved in a variety direct service projects on campus or in the community. As a Civic Leader you will be expected to attend a variety of civic engagement training events as well as maintain open communication with the Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning staff, peer Civic Leaders and community partners.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES BOARD

Campus Activities Board (CAB) is the premier student-run programming board at HWS. The mission is to host a wide array of free, fun and fantastic events for all HWS students. CAB helps with around 50 events a year.

GENEVA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD MEMBER

The Geneva IDA provides financing and project incentive support.  The IDA has also been a funding and advisory partner on the BID’s Full Occupancy Initiative, New York Main Street grant programs, Microenterprise Assistance Program, and the city’s comprehensive plan development. The IDA provides property tax relief, sales and mortgage tax exemptions, and land-cost write-downs for qualified projects.

CHI PHI FRATERNITY

Founding chapter of the national Chi Phi fraternity. Founding principles: Truth, Honor, and Personal Integrity. My involvement with my fraternity offered me opportunities of leadership development including leadership conferences, communicating with school administration, and the fraternity's national offices. I also represented the organization at various school meetings and events.

AMERICA READS TUTOR & COORDINATOR

America Reads tutors assist elementary school children with improving their reading skills in surrounding school districts. I managed a group of HWS students that attended a local elementary school twice a week for after school reading lessons.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE ORGANIZER

The Center for Community Engagement and Service Learning hosts numerous blood drives to benefit the American Red Cross. I was in-charge of contacting different clubs, organizations and teams on campus to recruit donors and schedule volunteers.

OFFICE OF STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

The Office of Student Activities and Student Engagement makes a calendar full of exciting programs and events for the entire campus. The office also oversees the nearly 100 clubs that exist on campus. I coordinated club meetings and collaboration events and assisted with budgeting.
